A fissure
filled with clay
Cleaned, it shows
the narrow, deep crack
extending into your
soul
Small, less significant
scratches
don’t mar the beauty
O, beautiful one
I cannot merely
fill
the faults
I need to
slowly
painfully
patiently
grind a bit
Lovingly
polish
etch away
what seems to be
normal
Take away healthy
fragments
to get to the
source
of the pain
